    Visit Alghero ancient town

Alghero also called Alguer by the local's catalan dialect. It is interesting that dialect is still live and spoken in that part of Sardinia. The town has nice preserved with many of the historic walls, the narrow streets and the fishermans port, retaining much of it's characteristics and attractiveness as a mediterranean town.

You may start your city tour to Alghero old town from the historical land entrance of the city. The Torre di Porta Terra, entrance to the citdel, plays a host to a multimedia itinerary that tells the history, habits and customs of the city from its origins to the present day.
