    Andros is the fifth biggest island on the Caribbean archipelago

    Andros lies only 15 minutes away from Nassau and its just 125 miles away from the tip of Florida. Andros Island is far away from the traffic noise, city lights and crowds in general. On the island you'll be surrounded with fresh, clean air and relaxing sensation of a tropical island. Andros is the fifth biggest island on the Caribbean archipelago. It has more then 8.000 inhabitants and its barrier reef is over 140 miles long and is considered the third largest barrier reef on the world. This island is also very known by sports fishermen and anglers for bonefish hunt. Andros Island is also rich with its fauna and flora, this beautiful tropical island will bring you the true feeling of an island life, amazing bluffs, gorgeous sea life and interesting towns history.
    Inhabitants of Andros Island are very open minded and friendly people that will accept people from every corner of the world. They have interesting cultural background and diverse ethnicity. Natives of Andros will soon start to tell you great stories of Lusca, which is their version of the Locch Ness monster, and they have another mythical legend about half bird gremlins and half man that reside in the forests they have feathers, three toes, three fingers and red eyes.

    Every year Andros Island hosts a pageant and Crab Fest, they are a great cullinary adventure of tropical flavours of the island. Crabs can be found anywhere around the island and they are also shipped regularly to all the classy restaurants around Florida and Nassau. Andros Island is separated on three sides on Central, South and North Andros. San Andros is located on the northern part of the island, it has a known diving spot with its Blue Hole, spot is also known for Jacques Cousteau. There is also a legend that is known for this area that pirate Henry Morgan hid his treasure and it still lies on the sea bottom. In this location you'll also see a building for studyiing marine biology and tropical ecology.
    Bigger towns like Hill, Driggs, Kepm's Bay, Pleasant Bay and Hill are found in the South Andros. Fresh Creek is the most known town in Central Andros, town is known for Androsia Batik Factory and for its lighthouse.
