One of a great sport events in Dolomites was in may 25,2013 with the final of Giro d’Italia 20th stage from Silandro to Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) win the run in the snow atop Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Nibali attacked with 3 kilometers to go on the steep ascent to Tre Cime at an altitude of 2,304 meters. On the final stages of the climb, the road was surrounded by huge banks of snow. .
