Maldives islands are a dream holiday destination for millions around the world, synonymous for luxury, romance and tropical idyll, paradise for diving enthusiasts and tourists looking indulgence.
Maldives have a tropical climate, the average temperature is 30 degrees Celsius, so it seems the summer lasts all year. It is rarely colder than 25 degrees, but generally the days are sunny and hot, but the nights are cool, just as you would want for a holiday.
There are two seasons: dry, which is influenced by the northeast monsoon and moist, which brings the southwest monsoon. The dry season lasts from December to March. Most days during this time are sunny, with high temperatures but it can also raining. Heat is the worst from February to April. Most tourists come in the dry season, especially for Christmas, New Year and other holidays, so when the price rises sharply.
Anyway I was in the Maldives in September, but it was just fine. Three days during this time it rained for 5 to 10 minutes a day, other days the sun still shone. My friends went to Bandos at the end of June, the weather was great, maybe a little windy, but they swim in the lagoon. The night rain only refreshes the atmosphere.
