Best choice to reach Benidorm is certainly by airplane to the, El Altet Airport, which is situated approximately 12 kilometres south of the Alicante and 50 km from Benidorm. Exploring the Costa Blanca by car from Benidorm is easy. You can cover a long distance quickly on the A7 motorway or enjoy spectacular views of the coast from the N332 main road. Beware of the latter at the height of the summer though - it can be very busy (and slow going!). Some 30 km from Denia can be found cave at Vall d'Ebo. The Cova del Rull is open from 10.30am until 5pm (8.30pm April - September). Near there, close to the small town of Pego, is the El Vergel Safari Park. It's easy to spend a whole day there with its attractions for children of all ages, and its good restaurant.
