Guadalquivir river
Its course takes it through two of Spain cities Córdoba and Sevilla. Columbus and Magellan sailed from Sevilla down to the sea at Sanlúcar on their voyages. Today tourists and water sports enthusiasts are its main users but more and more stretches are being opened again for work and leisure. National park Donana is situated at the outfall of the Guadalquivir river. The Park is also known as Coto de Donana. The Park consists of marshland, lagoons, dunes, and forest. A great variety of birds live there, in the winter hundreds of thousands of migrating birds and waterfowl can be seen.

You can book a boat trip at Sanlucar de Barrameda and visit the up the river and into the park for a short way. There is also a visitor center at Sanlucar with information about the Park.
