    A complex of great ruins called the Roman Forum makes it as one of the famous places in Rome. The complex includes the ruins of temples, basilicas, and arches. Although there are still excavations being done on some areas of the Roman Forum, there are parts of the place that is open for visits.

    The Palazzo Nuovo is considered as one of the famous places in Rome because it has a museum that is specifically for sculptures made by great artists like Discobolus and Marcus Aurelius.

    Famous places in Rome will not be complete without the Vatican City. Known as the smallest independent state in the world, this Roman Catholic Church headquarters is a walled city which consists of the Vatican Palace, St. Peter’s Square, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Papal Gardens.
