San Teodoro is a part of the coast known as Costa Smeralda. It is a pleasing small town built a few hundred metres from the coast. Another white beach with a crystal clear sea and no facilities is Capo Coda Cavallo beach. It is about 20 km south from Olbia. From Capo Coda Cavallo you can see two islands:
Molara and Tavolara, where is also a small naturalistic paradise protected by a marine park. Of course, the visit is possible only on a boat.
IThe island Isola Tavolara is a 500 m high limestone rocky island and partly a military restricted area. The " Parco Geomarino " on the island of Tavolara is highly recommendable for nature lovers and divers.
The Tavolara Punta Coda Cavallo area covers about 15,000 hectares of seascapes, and the coastal territories of the Municipalities of Olbia, Loiri Porto S.Paolo, and San Teodoro.
